Who’s got my wallet? Another blog for “Byaheng papuntang trabaho”

Man, I was so upset upon hearing the words of a security officer in the LRT Line1 particularly in Doroteo Jose Station just last week in one busy day, “Tell me who picked your wallet from your back-pocket?”

In other countries who usually experience pickpocketing in their place of duty, security officers usually do necessary solutions in order to avoid these accidents in happening again or just to “tone down” things. Even in “rush hours” in a situation inside a public/private railway stations, they could prevent the train from going to the next station in order to check a particular division of the train where the pickpocket could possibly be in. In a few minutes (5-10 minutes) the villain is apprehended. This, I think could help in preventing such incidents happening again and again.

Why could we not do the same? Are we serious in helping others, the public? What if a different accident happened inside a train station or in the train itself, will the security officers help the needy?

I think, let’s start doing something about it.
